MW2 PS3 Patch 1.08

Just a heads up to everyone, Infinity Ward has just recently released Patch 1.08 for the PS3 in the Europe region. Full post by fourzerotwo:

We've updated the European PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2, including the following fixes:

- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for "infinite care package" exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and 'elevators'.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.

US PS3 Players:
This patch should go live for US PS3 players at some point tonight according to Sony NA.

Worldwide Xbox 360 Players:
This patch is currently in certification at Microsoft. No ETA on it's arrival yet.

When are they going to update the multiplayer to dedicated servers?

Well, never so my copy of MW2 is going on ebay

finally they fixed XP glitch S&D ;/ and elevator glithc in derail and in favela there's also a glithc which i found out yesterday playin HC HQ guy just went out of the map hidding in the bushes but i pwnt him with semtex poor bastard

the 1887 are pretty much useless now.. too bad, they were already nerfed a lot.

i never used them at all i prefere striker shotgun or AA-12 best for me

neither do I, I'm using the rangers whenever I use shotguns, but, the 1887 still are pretty much useless now, at least they were usable before.
