The subject of Game Informers cover this month is Rockstar Games’ Max Payne 3. As you can see from the picture above this time he’s a whole lot rougher looking than Max Payne 2.
This time the game is set in Sao Paulo, Brazil 10 years later than the previous incanation. The game still features the much loved “bullet time” mode from before though and rumours suggest it’ll include some kind of multiplayer mode. Another revelation is Max’s addiction to pain killers, which according to sources has an affect on the way the game operates.
The game is said to be graphically stunning, with lots of comarisons to Uncharted 2’s color and destructible environments. We can expect plenty of urban gun battles in the Latin American ghettos with new weapons, day and night cycles and an advanced cover system to ensure you stay out of harms way whilst gaining territorial advantage over your enemies.
Max Payne 3 is due for release in Winter 2009 on the main platforms – PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
