Nazi PS3 Ad Offends Enough to Cause Big Problems!

The Nazi PS3 Ad featured here has caused PlayStation to issue a PR statement covering their gamer behinds. Sony has said that the “mock campaign” was developed by BBDO Chile staff, not Sony. Basically, all you need to know is that legally Sony had nothing to do with it.

The Nazi PS3 Ad is a bit offensive, and you definitely never want to make anyone from the ‘Greatest Generation’ mad, but come on, who hasn’t seen worse?

Honestly the picture doesnt make sense at all. How does this pertain to gaming at all? PS3 should just make games. Not try to scare us with hitler. And like the other people said... that nurse in the center has got serious problems.

Ok, this is obviousley the work of some smart advertisers, and has been done several times before, most memorable was the united colours of beneton ad done yrs ago(search em up if ur unsure) anyways, this is simply explained.
By using images such as nazism, they are just ascosciating themselves to an object loged into our brains, this controversy makes them memorable, the fact that this has 'angered' people is also beneficial in a way as it gives sony a nice amount of free publicity to show off their friendly games(little big planet, buzz etc)

the reason i see this is because i do A-level media and we're taught to never take anything from the media at face value, it always has a deeper meaning.
