Rumors of a PS3 Slim with a 250GB hard drive have been thrown about since the middle of August when PS3News uncovered a document filed with the FCC listing a 250GB PS3 model. Gaming website Eurogamer.net has over the past week received two confirmations from retailers that the model exists and is arriving next month.
If these latest off-the-record confirmations are to be believed then the 250GB model will cost £299 (most likely $399 in the U.S.) and will be bundled with a game. Depending on the region you’ll either get a choice of game or a predefined pack. For example, the UK is expected to have a choice between Assassin’s Creed II, Gran Turismo 5 and Uncharted 2. Where as gamers in Spain are getting a Fifa 10 bundle.
Eurogamer has also been informed that the Tokyo Game Show starting on September 24th will be where Sony announces the new model. For now Sony are not saying anything and probably will continue to do so until TGS.
